    Cordle Cares Scholarship Application

    Read This Section First! Before starting the online application please be sure to have the following documents saved and ready to upload, as the application must be submitted at one time and you will not be able to save the application and come back to it:
    • High School Transcript – Scanned or digital copy
    • Typed Essay - Please have your response(s) to the following question(s) typed and ready to upload:
      • Cordle Cares Foundation Scholarship: Describe your most significant community service activity. What was your specific contribution and scope of work? How did this activity personally affect you? How do you specifically plan on serving and contributing to your community in the future? (Answer all parts of the question in 500 words or less.)
      • Brian Sampson Memorial Scholarship (Lancaster High School Students Only): Brian Sampson was a graduate of Lancaster High School and went on to teach and coach at Lancaster High School. As a lifelong Lancaster Golden Gale, Coach Sampson exemplified the Gale spirit by motivating and inspiring his student-athletes through his passion for athletics and dedication to his student-athletes. Describe what being a Golden Gale student-athlete at Lancaster High School has meant to you and how you have demonstrated that same passion and dedication. Please provide examples of how you have inspired and motivated your fellow classmates and teammates. (Answer all parts of the question in 250 words or less in order for your application to be considered.)

    *Please note that scholarship winners must enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution in the Fall of 2020. Scholarship checks will be issued following the successful completion of recipient’s first semester in college.
    *Applications must be submitted no later than
    February 29, 2020 at 11:59PM to be considered. Applications must be completed online to be considered. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Be sure to define the activity, when you participated, the name of you supervisor and contact information for verification purposes. Also describe your roles and responsibilities.     Please attach two Letters of Reference and fill out the information below in regards to your references. Reference #1 must be from someone who can describe and attest to your character.   Reference #2 must come from an individual who supervised or is associated with your most significant community service activity.   Letters of Reference must be typed to be considered.
